-
SNAP and HIP Programs
The Holyoke Farmers Market is the only HIP access point in Holyoke, and is a fabulous opportunity for SNAP users to take advantage of their benefits! HIP allows SNAP users FREE money to use at farmers markets on fresh produce. Our farmers and staff are well-educated in this program and are happy to help you!
-
Support Small Business.
Between farmers and local crafters, the Holyoke Farmers Market is a hub for aspiring entrepreneurs, established small businesses looking to grow, and local farms. We offer small businesses alike a complimentary space to showcase their craft and produce.

Meet Alexis
Alexis started as our Holyoke Farmers Market Manager in November of 2022 and during his time running the market has increased the farmer and vendor presence, created inclusive and accessible opportunities to artisans of all ranges, aided in providing complimentary licensing, insurance, and equipment, and has grown the organization’s collaborations and partnerships across the Valley.
Born in Puerto Rico and grew up in the Flats and South Holyoke, Alexis is a 2017 Lighthouse graduate who holds a strong commitment to closing the food security gap and recognizes the need to provide fresh and accessible produce to underrepresented members of our community. Alexis has also worked with Pause and Pivot Farm in Williamsburg caring for their hydroponic farm, a two-time an AmeriCorps SelfServe Member, and served with Eagle Eye Institute helping youth recognize the importance of nature and agriculture by transforming the greenhouse at Dean Tech., here in the city.
